Came here twice over Indigenous Peoples Day weekend and loved it. Coffee was top notch. Great donuts. They’re practically giving away the breakfast sandwiches, which were awesome. The guy working the counter was really nice and gave good service too. Will definitely go back next time I’m in town.
Happy Place Cafe is the daytime alter ego of the Vermont Comedy Club, and a solid spot to get coffee and food in the middle of the day! Very cool vibes inside, amazing staff, and really great food and drink.
Best cappuccino I’ve had in ages! Seriously, it was absolutely delicious. Best experience - walked in to get breakfast on Black Friday, kitchen was closed but we decided to sit at the bar and have a cappuccino. It was perfection. definitely a hidden gem. was going to august first but the line was easily half an hour long, came here instead and loved it. top 5 lattes i've ever had, good food, and very short wait. atmosphere was adorable, prices reasonable. will go again!
Came here for a coffee and couldn’t resist the donuts they had on display. A comedy club by night, the happy place cafe is a great place to go for a quick bite, morning or afternoon pick me up. Walking in, I was so intrigued by all the bright colors and neons. The ambiance surely made it feel like a place to be happy!
Friendly staff. Fun mix of regulars and people stopping in. Coffee drinks are top notch and and plenty of good food options. Nice that you don't often have to fight through a crowd to find a place sit. Not cramped or overly loud.
I come here daily because the staff are incredible, the food is top notch, and the coffee unbeatable. Lots of options for vegetarians, vegans, and meat lovers alike. I get the breakfast sandwich nearly every time and the bun it comes on alone is worth it. My personal favorite drink is the maple latte, both hot or iced, depending on how I’m feeling that day. They also have fresh, locally-made donuts on the weekends that are out of this world. Best of all, it’s at the comedy club so you can talk to the staff about the upcoming shows, buy tickets, or just flip through a book or graphic novel from their little library. It’s cozy, welcoming, and just the best place in town. Plus they treat my pup like the queen she is (photo evidence below)
The Happy Place Cafe is the sister brand to the Vermont Comedy Club and I was very impressed with both their coffee and their food. I ordered a chicken panini that had mozzarella pickled red onions and a red pepper aioli. Everything was well balanced both flavor wise and structurally. The side options were fries, sweet potato fries, chips or salad. Fries were perfectly salted, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The ambiance is relaxing but not stuffy and filled with laptops like most coffee shops. It’s a great place to hang out and I couldn’t recommend it more.
I love this place! Lattes are good, breakfast sandwich is yum (also good), and the vibe is so chill. I wish my girlfriend and I were pregnant, we'd name them "Happy" after our favorite cafe!
Nice selection of cafe drinks and breakfast menu was creative. I enjoyed everything I ordered and thought the atmosphere was cheerful and fun (the name fits!) Lots of outlets and wifi for working, and cute assortment of books, board games and a few little kids activities which I always appreciate. Will be back!
